Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, said Vice President Kamala Harris showed she is “an intelligent, capable, person” in Tuesday’s debate with former President Donald Trump.

Romney, a staunch Trump critic who was the only Republican to vote twice to convict Trump during his impeachment trials in the Senate was full of praise for Harris, The Hill reported Wednesday.

“This was classic President Trump, a performance in the case of Kamala Harris, most people didn’t know her terribly well other than a few clips that that were not flattering that you might see on the Internet,” Romney told reporters, “and people saw, actually, she’s an intelligent, capable person who has a point of view on issues. And she actually demonstrated that time and again.”
