Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., suggested President Joe Biden should transfer part of his Secret Service detail to help protect former President Donald Trump leading up to the Nov. 5 election.

“Given that Donald Trump just dodged an assassin’s bullet two months ago by a fraction of an inch, don’t we think the Secret Service should have upped the level of resources on his detail, maybe had it match Joe Biden’s detail?” Cotton told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday.

“And why didn’t Joe Biden direct that to happen? … He’s saying that Congress has to spend more money on the Secret Service. I mean, maybe Joe Biden should decide that he doesn’t have to spend the next six weekends at his beach home in Rehoboth or even at his home in Wilmington.”
