Sen. Cornyn to Newsmax: Trump Trying to Start Dialogue on Gaza

President Donald Trump is “trying to start a dialogue, a serious discussion about what life post-Gaza is going to look like,” said Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, told Newsmax on Wednesday.

Trump on Tuesday suggested during a White House news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the U.S. take “ownership” in redeveloping the war-torn territory into “the Riviera of the Middle East.”

Efforts to revitalize Gaza will “require other countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and others to step up,” including the UAE and “a number of Gulf states,” Cornyn said on “Newsline.”
