Rep. Van Drew to Newsmax: Grateful to Trump on Wind Power Order

Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., who President Donald Trump praised this week for his work on an executive order to stop offshore wind turbine projects on the East Coast, said on Newsmax Friday that he’s pleased with the quick action that was taken.

“I always appreciate the president,” Van Drew told “Newsline.” “We’ve worked a lot together. And let me say this: He’s ‘promises made, promises kept.’ We’ve been talking about this for years.”

On his first day in office Monday, Trump signed an executive order for a temporary national moratorium on new federal leases or renewed existing leases for wind turbine projects offshore or on dry land.
