The Biden administration “didn’t believe in the word meritocracy” and when “somebody is in charge of important positions and they’re not doing the job right, it hurts all Americans,” says Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J.
“This is what America is about. We are colorblind. We don’t care what color you are. We don’t care if you’re Asian. We don’t care if you’re black. We don’t care if you’re Hispanic. We don’t care if you’re Caucasian. We’re America. We lead. We’re the best,” Van Drew told Newsmax TV’s “Chris Salcedo Show” when asked about President Donald Trump’s statement that under Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden candidates with “severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities” could be hired as air traffic controllers (ATCs).
“We want the smartest, the best, the most capable leading. We want those people working for us. We want the most focused. That is what we should be doing. Instead of trying to fill all these slots, worrying about people’s pronouns, worrying about their sexual behavior, who cares?” Van Drew said.
