Rep. Meuser to Newsmax: Republicans Must Work Together to Pass Trump’s Agenda

While some House Republicans dug in and would not support the recently passed government stopgap funding bill, Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Pa., told Newsmax on Monday that they need to recognize there “was no alternative” and work together in the new Congress to pass President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda instead of fighting among themselves.

“We need to work as a team,” Meuser told “National Report.” “We cannot make good the enemy of perfect. I was in business for 25 years. You do that, you get nothing done. And that’s a prospect that we cannot allow to occur in the next Congress.”

Meuser said there “is going to be a mutual plan and mutual execution” in the 119th Congress that is “based upon President Trump’s America First agenda” and anyone who “doesn’t get on board with that is not acting in the manner that the American people voted for.
