Americans are staunchly divided on how they feel President Donald Trump is handling his job, a Pew Research poll found.

According to the poll released Friday, 47% approve of how the president is handling his role with 37% strongly approving, and 51% disapprove with 40% strongly disapproving.

The poll showed stark divisions along partisan lines, with 84% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents approving of Trump’s performance, compared to just 10% of Democrats and Democratic leaners. The partisan gap is consistent with his first term, though broader than in its final weeks, when Republican support had dropped.
