Israel’s decision to close its embassy in Ireland should serve as a lesson to other European countries who have gotten “even more anti-Israel” after the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, KT McFarland, former deputy national security advisor during President-elect Donald Trump’s first administration, said on Newsmax Sunday. 

“The European countries have always been antisemitic, anti-Israel, and especially in recent months and years,” McFarland told Newsmax’s “Sunday Agenda.” “I think it’s a lesson not just to Ireland but to the other European countries.”

And considering Trump is taking office in January, the Europeans are “going in the wrong direction” on Israel, as he’s a “pro-Israel guy,” McFarland said.
