Israeli Envoy to Newsmax: Polish Threat to Arrest Netanyahu Misses Point of ‘Never Again’

In threatening to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he attends a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Poland misses the point of “never again,” Israeli special envoy Michal Cotler-Wunsh told Newsmax, Monday.

“This would have been the most important moment to say ‘never again’ in the 80-year commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz,” Cotler-Wunsh told Newsmax’s “Wake Up America.” “What we have seen instead is actually that a ‘never again is now’ moment is completely missed, including in the marking of the 80-year commemoration.”

Poland has warned that Netanyahu will be arrested if he visits the country for the 80-year commemoration of the Nazi concentration camp’s liberation on Jan. 27, in accordance with an International Criminal Court arrest warrant.
