An illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republican staying at a temporary shelter in Massachusetts is facing 10 firearms-related charges as well as a charge of possessing nearly 5 kilograms of fentanyl with an estimated street value of $1 million.
Leonardo Andujar Sanchez, 28, was arraigned Thursday at Chelsea District Court on 10 firearms-related charges related to the possession of an AR-15-style rifle and another charge for trafficking in 200 grams or more of heroin/morphine/opium/fentanyl, the Boston Herald reported.
The criminal complaint showed Sanchez allegedly possessed 4,995 grams of fentanyl, the Herald reported. The firearms charges included unlicensed possession of an “assault weapon,” illegal possession, lack of a Firearms Identification Card, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and “alien” in possession of a firearm.
