Two New York Police detectives say they were retaliated against by their own department for investigating and exposing corruption and bribery among officers and officials in Mayor Eric Adamsâ office, according to a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, reports the New York Post.
Detective William Seidman, 42, and his former partner, Detective Anthony Vidot, 57, who no longer work with the Department of Investigation, âstood against their corrupt superiorsâ and have âseen their careers destroyed in retaliation,â said attorney John Scola, who filed the lawsuit.
The department, he added, âneeds true independent oversightâ to root out corruption and without âreal reform, justice within the department is an illusion.â
