Rep. McCormick to Newsmax: Misunderstandings on Govt Audits, Cuts

Rep. Rich McCormick, R-Ga., told Newsmax on Monday that complaints about federal government spending audits and budget cuts may be based on misunderstandings.

He said he heard from some unhappy people at a town hall over the weekend, with many voicing concerns about what is happening to key federal departments as part of President Donald Trump’s government audit and streamlining program.McCormick told Newsmax’s Newsline that some of the complaints may be based on misunderstandings.

“I think anytime you have change, there’s going to be resistance, especially when it’s not your candidate,” McCormick said on “Newsline.” “They won. I think a lot of people are angered and concerned, and some people think that they’re going to see massive disturbances in government solutions. They’re going to see massive disturbances in things that they rely on. Some of that’s just unfounded.”But McCormick also said he believes the Trump administration and GOP members of congress to communicate more effectively.
