Matt Schlapp, the chairman of CPAC, told Newsmax on Tuesday that Democrats need to admit they’ve lost the trust of voters.

“Democrats are not going to change their tune because they think something tricky happened in the election, and it wasn’t because of their radical policy positions,” Schlapp said on “Newsline.” And they’re so used to 95% of the media making their extremism look like it’s moderation that they they’re using the same tools they always did.”

Schlapp said Democrats should look voters square in the eye and say, “We lost your trust because we talked about a lot of issues that were offensive to you. And we’re going to go back to respecting you, and we’re going to be for more spending than the Republicans.
