Israel should go after Iran’s nuclear program whether or not they discuss it with the United States first, former Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton told Newsmax on Tuesday.

On “American Agenda,” Bolton said, “I think they should do it. And I think they might well do it without consulting with the United States. You know, when they took out Hassan Nasrallah, the leader, the earlier leader of Hezbollah, they didn’t consult the United States. And there was a poll taken in Israel after that, 83% of the Israeli people agreed that they were right not to have consulted the United States.”

Bolton said the administration has reasons for not wanting the conflict to escalate.
