980 the WAAV is Wilmington’s NASCAR station.  Listen all season long for every Sprint Cup race (formerly Nextel Cup) and selected Nationawide (formerly Busch) and Truck races. If you’re a NASCAR fan, the only station in town that carries all 3 series races is 980 the WAAV.  And this year we’re even throwing in the Indianapolis 500 and several I-R-L races.  From ‘stocks’ to ‘open wheel’, no one does flag-to-flag coverage like 980 the WAAV.
